CrossFit Is:

Constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. It is fun, challenging, and extremely effective thanks to its emphasis on functional movements. Everybody can benefit from doing CrossFit no matter the age, gender, and/or athletic background because our physical needs are the same as everyone else, differing only by degree and not by kind.
Functional Movements

Functional movements are movements that use our entire bodies rather than specific isolated parts. These complex, multi-jointed movement patterns – squatting, running, jumping, pulling, pushing, lifting objects and moving them, etc – are commonly found in everyday life. They require greater degrees of neuromuscular control because they move our entire bodies working together as a single unit in order to complete tasks. By improving our body’s ability to perform these movements more efficiently, we can dramatically improve overall health indicators while enhancing our ability to perform more effectively in both life and sport.

Constant Variance

In CrossFit, we specialize in not specializing. Doing different workouts every day makes us more adaptable and capable of overcoming obstacles that come our way. Our workouts typically last between 5 to 15 minutes and will vary in movements, loads, rep schemes, etc in order to challenge different aspects of fitness each and every day. Our workouts rarely get repeated, as the only reason to do so is to track progress over time.

High Intensity

Simply put: Intensity works. To become faster, stronger, and healthier one has to push themselves more by keeping the intensity up during workouts. Of course, intensity is relative to one’s fitness level but there’s no denying everyone can benefit from it.

Universal Scalability

CrossFit is universally and infinitely scalable. It’s true! Whether you’re a beginner just getting off the couch or an experienced athlete looking for cross training during off-seasons, every CrossFit workout can be scaled up or down to suit your needs. It’s our way to make sure our workouts are challenging, not impossible.
